Steve Stoops proprietor of Stevens Fine Art handles American and some European art created 1850-1960. We have interest in New York City scenes and other urban subjects, WPA art, California Impressionists, and early Arizona and western American subjects. The gallery also focuses on the Santa Fe and Taos Schools and Transcendental and Abstract paintings from the 30's and 40's.

The gallery's holdings include a wide selection of paintings, watercolors and fine prints by distinguished artists including Thomas Hart Benton, George Elbert Burr, Gustave Baumann, Andrew Dasburg, Francisco Zuniga, Raymond Jonson, Doel Reed, Birger Sandzen, Grant Wood, Anders Zorn, John Sennhauser and many others.

Stevens Fine Art has been buying and selling paintings, prints, sculpture and studio ceramics privately for almost forty years. The first few years were spent in Kansas buying and selling mostly Regionalist art and Depression Era prints, including the Prairie Printmakers works. After moving the business to Arizona in 1988, we have steadily grown to handle paintings and prints for every level of collector from many areas of interest. We hold ourselves to a high standard of quality and ethics.

As well as dealing privately by appointment, Stevens Fine Art exhibits at a few select Antique and Fine Arts shows around the country. These include: the Portland Fine Print Fair at the Portland Art Museum, The Rare Books and Print Fair in San Francisco, the L.A. Fine Print Fair in Pasadena, the McNay Print Fair in San Antonio, the Objects of Art/Ethnographic Show in Santa Fe, NM, the Palm Springs Modernism Show, and The New York Satellite Print Fair.  Please keep an eye on our Events page for a current listing of upcoming shows.
